Material Kart partnered with Creative Nexus to articulate a bold vision: simplifying self-construction for homeowners in Tier-2 and Tier-3 India through affordable design, expert project management, and intelligent material buying. The goal was to convert a highly operational business model into a structured, scalable investment story.

The Challenge:

Home construction in Tier-2 and Tier-3 India is deeply fragmented, unorganised, and emotionally exhausting for homeowners. While the opportunity was massive, the problem space was complex:

  • Multiple disconnected stages — design, contractors, labour, materials, and execution
  • Poor quality control, unsafe designs, cost overruns, and timeline delays
  • Lack of professional architects, project managers, and organised material access
